Saturday, March 25, 2017 will see our annual Lenten retreat with Dr. Albert Rossi of St. Vladimir's Seminary as retreat leaders. Dr. Rossi is a NYS Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Director of Counseling and Psychological Services, St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, Yonkers. He is a retired professor of psychology at Pace University and a published author, writer, speaker, and podcaster.
Retreat Synopsis: We are a healing presence to others when we can give them strength and hope, but to become a healing presence we must first be healed ourselves—through an active relationship with the great Healer, Jesus Christ.
In this Lenten Retreat, Dr. Rossi will explain how to do both in imitation of Christ, our complete Healer, who desires nothing more than for us to be His humanity on earth—His healing presence to others. Drawing on the teachings of the Church Fathers and saints, Dr. Rossi gently points the way toward deepening our love for God and for each other so that others may experience Christ through us.
The retreat will have three talks, interspersed with times for prayer and meditation:
